2 Injured in Rollover Accident

OFFENSE: Roll-Over Injury Accident

On 07/04/15 at approximately 2307 hours, Wymore EMS and the Gage County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a single-vehicle injury accident that occurred on S. 23^rd Road between Hwy. 77 and W. Pine Road.  Upon investigation, it was determined that Andy C. Nielsen, age 50, of Wymore, was driving southbound on S. 23^rd Road just south of Hwy. 77 when he lost control of his vehicle and went off the west side of S. 23^rd Road.  Nielsen’s vehicle rolled an unknown number of times, causing Nielsen to be ejected.  A passenger in Nielsen’s vehicle, Randall Cameron, age 31, also of Wymore, sustained only minor injuries.  Cameron was treated at the scene and released.  Nielsen was transported to Bryan LGH West hospital in Lincoln by Star Care helicopter where he was listed in critical condition.

Illegal drugs are suspected of being a factor in the accident.  Neither Nielsen nor Cameron were wearing seat belts.  The investigation continues and criminal charges are pending.
