Highway 77 & Highway 112 Injury Accident

The Gage County Sheriff’s office investigated a two-vehicle injury accident on 03/18/2024 at HWY 77 and HWY 112. The investigation found that Carlos Ramos, 65 years of age, of Lincoln, NE, was operating a 2006 Lexus IS250 when the vehicle failed to yield to the right away and pulled out in front of a Pontiac G6 that was traveling southbound on US HWY 77. The Pontiac G6 was being operated by a 17-year-old from Blue Springs, NE. Wymore Fire & Rescue along with Blue Springs Fire & Rescue also responded to the scene of the accident.

Ramos was transported to Beatrice Community Hospital and Health Center by Beatrice Fire and Rescue for non-life-threatening injuries. The juvenile and her passenger were transported to BCH with non-life-threatening injuries by family.

Ramos was issued a citation for failure to yield and no operator’s license. No alcohol or drugs are suspected. Both drivers were wearing the appropriate seatbelts. The collision totaled both vehicles.
