Car / Cow Injury Accident on East Pine near South 10th Road

OFFENSE: Car / Cow Injury Accident

CASE #: 2016-5228               

On September 30, 2016 at 1958 hours the Gage County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a Car / Cow non-injury accident on East Pine Road east of South 10th Road.

Preliminary investigation found that a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Travis Lang, age 34 of Beatrice, was eastbound on East Pine Road.  The vehicle hit a black calf just east of South 10th Road that was in the roadway.

A female passenger began to have neck and back pain related to the accident.  Wymore Fire and EMS were dispatched to the location.  The female passenger was transported to the Beatrice Community Hospital by Wymore EMS.

Seat belts were not in use by any of the occupants in the vehicle, and airbags did deploy. 

Neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to be a factor in the accident.

This accident is still under investigation and charges are pending.
