Gage County Sheriff’s Office conducted a stop of a vehicle in Pickrell, NE, which was speeding on Highway 77. The driver told the deputy he was heading from Lincoln to Crete. The driver later said he was heading to Beatrice. During the course of the traffic stop, deputies requested a K9 from the Beatrice Police Department which indicated to the odor of narcotics inside the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle was conducted which discovered suspected methamphetamine and paraphernalia, a loaded and defaced handgun, additional ammunition, and burglary tools. The vehicle was also stolen out of Lincoln, NE.
The driver, Robert Cave (29yr old Male from Lincoln), was arrested on multiple charges.
