LOCATION: Gage County Sheriff’s Office

OFFENSE: Drug Take-Back Day

On May 2, 2015, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office completed the first localized prescription Drug Take-Back Day. Between 0900-1500 Hours, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office received 104.3 pounds of unused/unwanted prescription medication that was turned over to our office. Of the 104.3 pounds, 18.3 pounds of the items turned in were Schedule 4 or lower drugs.  This medication was disposed of that day. We would like to thank everyone that participated in this program and made the day a success.

The Gage County Sheriff’s Office would like to show a special gratitude to Christina Lyons and the M.A.P.S. Program for continuing to fund and support the program and Deines Pharmacy for continuing to support the program. We would like to also thank Susan Barnard for volunteering to help the day of the event.

The Gage County Sheriff’s Office would like everyone to know that if they would like to have any unused or unwanted prescriptions removed from their household and disposed of, they can contact our office for help year round. If you decide to contact our office, please call Sergeant Schley #9035 at 402-223-5222 EXT. 209 and leave a message with your name, number, and the reason you are calling.

Thank you again to everyone who helped make this program a continued success.
