Flee to Avoid Arrest, Possession of a Controlled Substance

DATE & TIME: 10/04/18 @ 1549 hrs.     

LOCATION: Hwy. 136 and S. 36th Rd.

OFFENSE: Flee to Avoid Arrest, Possession of a Controlled Substance

On 10/04/18 at approximately 1549 hrs. a Gage County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle on S. 36th Rd. just north of Hwy. 136. The vehicle fled at a high rate of speed and a vehicle pursuit ensued. The vehicle came to a stop on E. Sargent Rd. just east of S. 36th Rd. The driver was taken into custody and identified as Dennis Burr, age 29 of Virginia, NE. The vehicle was towed and during an inventory of the vehicle a glass meth pipe was located, along with three empty plastic baggies containing residue of suspected methamphetamine, and a red capsule containing an unknown substance. Burr was lodged at the Gage County Detention Center on two outstanding arrest warrants along with new criminal charges for Speeding, Flight to Avoid Arrest, Driving Under Suspension, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
