House Fire

LOCATION: South 162^nd / East Sargent Road, rural Filley

OFFENSE: House Fire

The Gage County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the area south of East Sargent Road and South 162^nd Road for a house fire. The Filley Volunteer Fire Department, Adams Volunteer Fire Department, and the Nebraska State Fire Marshal’s Office, and several other fire departments were also dispatched to the scene.

Two adult males, age twenty and twenty-one, were taken by air ambulance to Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln for treatment of burn injuries. One adult female from Beatrice was also at the house and is deceased.

The Gage County Sheriff’s Office is coordinating investigative efforts into the incident and the cause of the fire with the Nebraska State Fire Marshal’s Office.
