On Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 2257 hours, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a single vehicle rollover accident on State HWY 41 near SW 72^nd Road. The accident investigation revealed that a gray 2006 gray GMC Sierra driven by 34-year-old Jami Thody from Auburn, NE was traveling eastbound on State HWY 41 nearing SW 72^nd Road when Jami lost control of her vehicle due to weather conditions, ended up leaving the roadway, and collided into the ditch on the north side of State Hwy 41 causing the vehicle to rollover onto it’s top. Clatonia Fire & Rescue along with Cortland Fire & Rescue were dispatched to the scene to assess the passengers of the vehicle for minor injuries. 29-year-old Michael Hyde Jr. from Auburn, NE was assessed on scene for a suspected head injury and was later transported by Clatonia EMS to the Crete Area Medical Center for his injuries.

Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be a factor in this accident.
