OFFENSE: Injury Accident / Stop Sign Violation

On 04/27/2022 at 1440 hours, Beatrice Fire and Rescue, Wymore Fire and Rescue and the Gage County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a two vehicle injury accident at 201 E G St. Wymore, NE.
The reporting party indicated that one of the drivers, Linda Seydlitz (75) had minor injuries to her right forearm. Beatrice Fire and Rescue evaluated Linda at the scene. She refused transportation to the hospital via ambulance, but was taken to the hospital with a family member.
An investigation at the scene indicated that a blue 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt, driven by Linda Seydlitz of Wymore, was traveling southbound on N 6th St. and did not stop at the stop sign at N 6th St. and East G St. As she entered the intersection, the vehicle made contact with a white 2013 GMC Sierra 2500 driven by Roger Dorn (63) of Blue Springs. Roger Dorn was traveling eastbound on East G St.
After the collision, Roger Dorns vehicle spun 180 degrees, and Linda Seydlitz vehicle continued through the intersection, and made contact with a pole that supported an awning attached to 210 East G St. which is owned by Dale Carpenter of Blue Springs.
Vehicle restraints were used by both drivers. Airbags were deployed in Linda Seydlitz vehicle. Alcohol was not a factor.
Investigation is ongoing.
