Motorcycle / Deer Injury Accident on SW 117th Road just South of State Highway 4

On June 27, 2015 at approximately 0840 hours, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office investigated an injury accident one and one half miles south of State Hwy 4 on SW. 117th Road (Ellis Blacktop).

 

Driver, William Thimm (63) of Beatrice was traveling north on S.W. 117th Road riding a 1997 Honda VT600 Motorcycle when a large buck came out of the east ditch.  Thimm’s motorcycle struck the buck causing him and the bike to go down.

 

Thimm was transported to the Beatrice Community Hospital by a neighbor who witnessed the accident.  Injuries sustained by Thimm included scrapes, bruises and serious road rash over his entire body.

 

Road conditions are not believed to be a factor in the accident.  Thimm was wearing a motorcycle helmet.  Neither alcohol nor drugs were believed to be a factor.
