One Vehicle Injury Accident

One person injured in a single vehicle rollover accident on SW 61^st Road, north of the PWF on Thursday morning.

On Thursday, June 27, 2019, at approximately 06:45 hours the Gage County Sheriff’s Office along with Beatrice Fire Department, Odell QRT, Odell Fire and the Wymore Fire Department were dispatched to a one-vehicle rollover injury accident just north of the PWF on SW 61^st Road.

The accident involved a northbound 2004 Buick Rendezvous Sport Utility driven by Jennifer Johnson (27) of Odell, Nebraska.

The accident investigation revealed Johnson had drifted into the southbound lane, then quickly moved back into the northbound lane almost going off the road to the right, then overcorrecting causing the vehicle to go into a skid. The vehicle then left the roadway into the left (west) ditch, rolling over two times, coming to rest on the passenger side.

Johnson was transported to the Beatrice Community Hospital for her injuries, and her two children were also transported to the Beatrice Community Hospital for precautionary reasons.

Child restraints in use. Airbags deployed. Neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to have been a factor in the accident.
