One Vehicle Roll-over Injury Accident @ E Hwy 136 & Hwy 4

LOCATION: E. Highway 136 & Highway 4   

TIME: 0920 hours               

OFFENSE: Injury accident        

CASE: 2015-5531               

On 11-13-15 around 0920 hours, Filley Fire and Rescue, Beatrice Rural Fire and Rescue, Beatrice Fire and Rescue and the Gage County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a single vehicle injury accident at E Highway 136 and Highway 4.

An investigation conducted at the scene determined that a gray 1991 Ford F 250 pickup truck, driven by 57 year old Mark Tomek of rural Table Rock, was traveling Northbound on Highway 4 approaching E Highway 136 when it suffered a brake failure. The vehicle went into the East ditch of Highway 4 where it then struck a culvert at Highway 136 causing the vehicle to rollover. The vehicle came to rest in the North ditch of Highway 136.

Mr. Tomek was transported from the scene by a third party to a local medical facility for what appeared to be non life threatening injuries.

Mr. Tomek was not wearing occupant protection. There were no airbag deployments.

Neither Drugs nor alcohol are believed to have been a factor.
