CASE #: 2019-6220
The Gage County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call from administrators at Freeman High
School in Adams, Nebraska regarding a suspicious note.
An investigator and a school resource deputy investigated the incident and found there was no
imminent threat to the school or students. The note was found by a teacher on November 25th,
but had been written more than two weeks earlier.
The student who wrote the note was cited for disturbing the peace and turned back over to the
school where she was suspended. The victim and her parent were notified and are not considered
to currently be in danger.
Although the note was written two weeks earlier, it had remained in the student’s possession and
was discovered by staff on an unrelated matter.
