Two Executed Search Warrants End With Arrests

LOCATION: 201 W. Fouts St. Blue Springs, NE and 106 2^nd Ave. Virginia, NE

OFFENSE: Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Psilocybin Mushrooms), Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Prohibited Person, Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Maintaining a Drug House

CASE #: 2021-2135 and 2022-0310

On Friday February 4, 2022 at approximately 7:10 AM the Gage County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Nebraska State Patrol, executed two search warrants related to methamphetamine use and distribution occurring in Gage County.  One search warrant was executed at 201 W. Fouts St. in Blue Springs, NE and the other search warrant was executed at 106 2^nd Ave. in Virginia, NE.  These were unrelated investigations and the two residences are not believed to be connected to one another as of this time. 

Following the search at 201 W. Fouts St., investigators located a meth pipe, numerous syringes, and a knife with an approximate 9 1/2” blade length.  Ryan Holtsclaw, age 43 of Blue Springs, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth), Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Prohibited Person, Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Holtsclaw is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing deadly weapons.  Holtsclaw was lodged in the Gage County Detention Center.    

Following the search at 106 2^nd Ave., investigators located a meth pipe, numerous syringes, a small amount of suspected methamphetamine and several items related to meth distribution.  Garth Ruh, age 59 of Virginia, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Psilocybin Mushrooms), and other misdemeanor drug violations. Ruh was lodged in the Gage County Detention Center.
