Two Vehicle Accident

LOCATION: Hwy 77 and Lilac Rd                                          

OFFENSE: Two Vehicle Accident

On the above date and time Gage County Deputies responded to a two-vehicle injury accident.  Randal Witkowski, 71 years old of rural Beatrice, was driving a 2001 Dodge Pickup southbound just south of Lilac. Witkowski lost control of his vehicle due to the wet, slushy, and snow conditions, crossed the center line and struck a northbound vehicle. The northbound vehicle was a 2008 GMC pickup driven by Shawn Huffman; 47 years old of Wymore. Witkowski was transported to BCH for minor injuries by Beatrice Fire and Rescue. Huffman was not transported nor was his female passenger.

Seatbelts were in use.  Alcohol was not a factor.  Beatrice Rural Fire also responded to the scene.
