On August 21, 2018 Pickrell Fire Department along with the Gage County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a vehicle fire 1/4 mile north of Elm Rd and S 96 Rd in Gage county.

Jacob Parthemer of Beatrice was in operation of a 2005 Dodge Stratus. This vehicle became high-centered in the roadway. Several attempts were made to remove the vehicle causing it to overheat and catch fire. The vehicle was a total loss and estimated value is $4,000.
