Warrant Arrest

On Wednesday, 06-07-2017, a parole officer from the State of Nebraska contacted Southeast Communications and advised them that Shawn A. Fralin, age 46 of rural Wymore, was currently in Beatrice at an address near 16^th and Jefferson Streets, and that a warrant had been issued for Fralin’s arrest for a felony offense, strangulation, and a misdemeanor offense of assault.

Southeast Communications contacted an investigator with the Gage County Sheriff’s Office and advised him of the situation.  The investigator recognized that Fralin is a registered sex offender and checked his file, identifying the vehicles Fralin owns or operates, and drove to the area where it was reported Fralin was located.  After locating the vehicle, the investigator awaited the arrival of a marked patrol vehicle before making contact with Fralin. 

A few minutes later Fralin entered a vehicle parked in the driveway and drove away northbound out of the neighborhood, onto Monroe Street, and then turned onto northbound 6^th Street.  The investigator followed Fralin and radioed for a marked patrol unit to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle.  A Beatrice police officer was the first to arrive and stopped Fralin’s vehicle just north of Beatrice Community Hospital on Highway 77 and West Hickory Road.  Deputies from the Gage County Sheriff’s Office also arrived at the scene to assist with the call.

Fralin was asked to step out of his vehicle where he was identified, advised of the warrant for his arrest and placed into custody, then transported to the Gage County Detention Center.
